I can relate to so much of this, I have a friend that moved close to Santa Monica and another down in OC and just that distance even though they're still in "LA" makes it hard to hang out.

I'm also a huge binger of shows and occasional reality TV. I'm more of a kdrama person and used to watch Terrace House until it got cancelled ): I've seen some Love is Blind but not sure what else to watch. Anything on your binge list?

Ugh yes! Honestly sometimes I feel like LA’s sprawl and traffic make us lonelier than the other big cities. I’ve also been super lazy when it comes to driving, which is antithetical to having a social life in LA.

TBH the last one I watched was Queen of Tears which I still need to finish but haven’t because I got signed out of my friend’s Netflix account. I also love love Asian reality shows like Terrace House (so sad) and I guilty pleasure watch Singles Inferno. I’ve only watched the latest season of Love is Blind which was a dramatic clusterfuck. Ngl I think I’m just really into reality dating shows that are not the classic American ones. Some good ones were the Matchmaking series (Indian and Jewish), On the Spectrum, and a bunch of Asian ones I’ll need to go look into (falling in love like a kdrama Japan edition was interesting too).

Your cat is sooo cute! If I didn’t have a dog I’d definitely adopt one.

Omg, someone else that knows terrace house! 🥺 There's one called Love Village that has the same set up as it with commentaries but it's in a remote location and the participants are middle aged+, and some have previously been married. I saw the 1st season and they're approved for a 2nd.

I've also seen the Jewish matchmaking one! That felt like one of my more random viewings but it was fun to watch haha, maybe I'll check out the Indian one next.
