Where are you at in your life stage?
Recently divorced from a two decade long relationship, shared time with two elementary school aged children, mid career and not looking for advancement for now.
How's your life?
after some therapy, deep self reflection, and reprioritizing… it’s good. There’s some thoughts about “imposter syndrome” but I really do feel like I’m the happiest I’ve been as an adult.
What helps you keep your sanity?
Getting enough sleep, working out 5-6 times a week, and learning to accept that I can’t control how other people feel/say/do, only how I react to it.
What is most important to you right now?
My kids… always being a better dad by making myself better & happier and rebuilding my relationships with the rest of my family and friends.
Anything you recently found interesting?
There’s always a choice, it’s whether or not you an accept the consequences… and I’m good with the choices that I’ve made. Are you?
What is your idea of a perfect day?

Would be sometime in February where the air is chilled but crisp. A sweater and a jacket needed to get a hot cup of coffee or tea and sit out in the patio to really get your fill of the special weather. Then maybe spend the midday in an outdoor antique mall. And then in the evening, make a delicious hot bowl of soup, whatever you prefer, with a side of the fresh sourdough loaf you found at a bakery you stumbled upon during your outing of the day.

Wake up in Texas Springs Campground in Death Valley and get a good hot coffee. Jump to NorCal and drive through Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park. Then somehow get to Oregon and walk up to the top of Crater Lake for an open-water swim in its icy cold water. Soak in Umpqua Hot Springs among hippies. Before sunset, come back to the campground where I wake up. Take a lot of night sky photos before going to sleep.
Nice relaxing morning, then some work, then some exercise, then cook a good meal, then some live music or a glass of wine with some friends.

Where are you at in your life stage?
learning how to drive, finally got in the habit of excercising and stretching, started traveling and making memories my childhood self could only daydream of.
How's your life?
I like to spend time with animals and really get to know them as individuals. My two dogs are getting old and I began goldfish keeping two years ago and its going great. Would love to start feeding local wildlife again like our pigeons and squirrels and if im lucky an opossum will visit.
What helps you keep your sanity?
I like to consider myself a regular at a few places... a ramen shop, coffee shop, and a local store. I've been illustrating for a decade or so and I'm happy I never grew out of the hobby but ideally I will explore new ones too.
What is most important to you right now?
Decorating my new room.
Anything you recently found interesting?
The existence of the word conglobation.

Where are you at in your life stage?
I am right in the middle, somewhere between professional fulfillment and mid-life crisis. Gathered a baggage of life stories and ideas, grew out of a few things, hasn't grown into others. Prefer to think that I'm still open to everything new and exploring life, but maybe I just can't admit that I don't know where I'm headed.
How's your life?
Life's been pretty good, to the point of almost boring sometimes. I got an interesting job and great family, between which I keep alternating in an endless cycle work-home-work. Probably due to this cycle of life I started questioning what and where am I really in life and where it's all going.
What helps you keep your sanity?
My job and my hobbies are mostly creative, like writing or music, which helps to abstract from reality or create a sense of personal achievement. Kind of hooked on this feeling of 'moving somewhere' with what I am doing. Just recently discovered quite the opposite way - just stopping in the moment and meditating. Trying to balance those two modes now.
What is most important to you right now?
I am trying to provide some stability in life for my family, being a responsible adult etc. and at the same time leave some time for myself to grow and change for better. Trying to get personal space to pursue my own interests.
Anything you recently found interesting?
I've recently got back into reading and discovered a whole new fields I want to explore more and discuss: humanistic psychology, systems approach to sociology. On the lighter side of life - I can talk about music for hours.

Creeping up on the big 5-0 and feeling it. Considering what would be my second career pivot but having a hard time with the unknowns. Enjoying the time I have with my kids in the interim. Always low-key interested in new friends and the adventures ahead.
How's your life?
Something about..I can’t complain. I’m a year out from losing my brother and then my mom a few months later. I’m starting to realize how much of that I’m still processing but processing, I am. Doing my best to funnel that energy into making them proud and ensuring my kids always remember the family members that loved them with everything.
What helps you keep your sanity?
Work. Both my 9-5 and the small businesses I operate. Live music. Lots of records. The amazing Caribbean restaurant and bar near my house.
What is most important to you right now?
Being the best dad I can. Doing what I can to protect my kids from the political nastiness that consumes our country. Improving my health and the health of my family. Making new friends when possible.
Anything you recently found interesting?
Well..it’s been 105°-110° for many weeks. So the most interesting thing I’ve encountered recently was an ice bath.

Where are you at in your life stage?
I have a full-time job at a prestigious place, but I am new there, which is challenging at this age. Additionally, I run my own business, so I am always busy.
How's your life?
"It's all right. I have a dog that I love, and I have lots of friends all around the world."
What helps you keep your sanity?
Projects, rock climbing, motorcycle riding, great conversations. Recently started walking, again. Living on the West Coast it seems I have forgotten I have legs. Luckily the dog loves walking, but today my neighbor and his dog came, too.
What is most important to you right now?
Fixing my financial situation. I lost a lot of money last year by losing my job, being out of work, and more. Then I'd like to buy my own single-family home in a decent place close to society but having the ability to sleep.
Anything you recently found interesting?
The cute houses in Sacramento. They are unique and super-fun to look at. I am also working on my camper trailer. Have to do a few upgrades, learn about batteries, charging, monitoring, solar, etc.

Where are you at in your life stage?
I'm at the point where I feel like it's time for me to start working on interesting projects. I just began the literature review for a nonfiction book about close-knit communities in the United States. I'm picking up photography again and meeting with new people from all walks of life to hear their stories.
How's your life?
It's going alright! I take care of my elderly parents, and I've been socially isolated since the pandemic, but I'm breaking out of my shell.
What helps you keep your sanity?
Reading sociological books and classic novels, listening to classical and folk music, going for walks in nature, having interesting conversations with friends and strangers, cooking comfort foods from various cultures, going on day trips.
What is most important to you right now?
Making sure I take care of myself, not just other people.
Anything you recently found interesting?
The best quotation I've come across recently: “Let me make the songs of a nation, and I care not who makes its laws.” Andrew Fletcher, Scottish writer

Because I’m introverted and constantly overthinking, (maybe a tad bit of rbf.. ha..) people think I’m standoffish; to but it nicely. The reality is I’m not, I’m just selective with my energy. I’m always looking to improve though, so I know it’s something to work on if I’m giving people that impression of me.

My craft is in design. It’s often assumed that if you can make things beautiful, you or your work cannot simultaneously be smart
